There are different opinions in the industry as to the amount of ventilation
that is required in a greenhouse.
Some will say 15% and some will say 20% of the total floor area should be supplied
as ventilation.
We tend to supply about 15% of the floor area as ventilation with you the customer
being able to ask for additional ventilation if you require.
Your plants need plenty of light, warmth and air, with these essentials they
can thrive.
Side opening ventilators are available as standard on all of our feature range
of greenhouses and as an optional extra on our conventional buildings.
Automatic vent openers.
Care needs to be taken to ensure that the temperature in the greenhouse is
maintained at the level for the plants that you are growing.
Major damage can for example be caused to your plants if on a hot day you forget
to open the vents on your greenhouse or forget to close them before a frost.
This is why the automatic vent openers are so useful.
We have available, suitable temperature based automatic openers that are suitable
for roof, louvre and side opening vents.

Louvre windows
Louvre windows mounted at ground level are a very effective way of creating
movement of air in your greenhouse and these can be supplied in most building
designs.
